Jewelry Care

  • To receive the greatest longevity with your jewelry, it’s best to avoid direct contact with chemicals and skincare products. (Consider pools, sunscreen, lotions, etc.)
  • We love skincare at Co. Lo! When applying skincare such as sunscreen, spray tans or lotion, we suggest rinsing your chain immediately after. To rinse the chain without washing away your spray tan/spf, put a little water on your fingers and run it along the chain.
  • To clean your jewelry, wash with mild soap, dry thoroughly, and polish with a jewelry polishing cloth. For a deeper clean, a soft toothbrush and plain white toothpaste can be used.
  • If you need to remove a welded piece for any reason, you can use any wire cutter or sharp scissors. If you need to cut off a chain, please cut at the small circular jump ring used to weld your piece for the best re-weld.
  • Some wearers may experience allergic reactions to certain metals, especially those with sensitive skin. Some wearer's skin PH levels have a more drastic effect on jewelry pieces than other wearers. High acidity, sulfur (sometimes found in water sources), skin PH, sweat, chemicals, or skincare can cause the metals to wear at a more rapid rate. Many wears sensitivities are to silver options, so we would recommend a 14K gold or gold filled option in this case.
  • With proper care, your welded jewelry can last a long time!
